Menu
Three menus and the à la carte classics: the five-course Mannerheim Menu, the OOBU Menu and a vegan menu. We smoke our fish ourselves and make every dish from start to finish in our own kitchen.
All of our dishes are gluten-free and lactose-free.
OOBU’s menu is built on Finnish ingredients: fish from nearby waters, game and berries from the forests. Wine recommendations are chosen for every course. À la carte Tue–Fri after 4 pm and all day on Saturdays — dinner on the bank of the River Aura, in the historic Bassi house.

Marshal C.G.E. Mannerheim was a renowned culinarian whose palate was shaped by years at the Tsar’s court, expeditions across Asia and life as a European aristocrat. His dinners always proceeded from a Russian-style soup to a fish course, a meat course and dessert.
This menu honours the Marshal’s favourite dishes — he brought vorschmack from Poland to the menu of restaurant Savoy, pikeperch was his favourite fish, and a cranberry parfait closed many an evening at the Mikkeli Club.

We did not know what to expect, as we are not from Turku and had never been to Oobu. But, wow, what a delight. The Oobu menu and accompanying wines were absolutely delicious.
