Up to 70 guests · Ceremony in the house · Until 2 am
One house, one day. Ceremony, sparkling wine, dinner and dancing all happen under the same roof — nobody has to move anywhere.
A wedding in the Bassi house
The Bassi house has stood by the River Aura since 1829. Juhlasali is its largest room: tall windows open onto the river and a chandelier hangs over the long table. The room seats at most 70 guests — that limit comes from fire regulations, so it holds for a standing reception too.
Many couples have been married here. The ceremony can be held in the house, so the day runs without transfers: the vows, the sparkling wine and the photographs, then dinner.
Cocktails before dinner sit naturally in Lyhty, the vaulted bar room in lantern light, while Juhlasali is laid for the meal.
The evening and the food
The evening can run until 2 am. Time beyond our normal closing carries a supplement, agreed in advance — but the party does not have to stop halfway.
The menu is chosen together for the whole party. Everything we serve is already gluten-free and lactose-free, and a vegan menu is part of the standard selection. At a wedding table that means no one has to be treated as an exception.
You may bring your own wedding cake as long as it comes from a bakery. For food safety we cannot accept home-baked cakes.

What it costs
There is no separate room hire. Instead we agree a minimum spend for the occasion — the amount the party eats and drinks. A wedding party passes it in practice every time, so the room costs nothing on top.
Occasions starting before 4 pm carry no minimum spend at all.
Tell us the guest count and the date and we will give you the figure directly.
